Without Faith . . .
Hebrews 11:6 tells us that, without faith it is impossible to please
God:
But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory
to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that
God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently
seek Him [out]. Hebrews 11:6 (Amp)
This verse teaches that God rewards those who desire to know Him and will
take the time to seek Him in His Word and in prayer. Believe me, He responds
to everyone who has their heart turned toward Him. There is no doubt Beloved,
when you draw near to Him He will draw near to you:
Come close to God and He will come close to you. [Recognize
that you are] sinners, get your soiled hands clean; [realize that you have
been disloyal] wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify
your hearts [of your spiritual adultery]. James 4:8 (Amp)
Faith is the exercise of the gift that God has given to us. It is not using
the natural, human kind of faith, like that we use when we get on a plane
and have confidence that the pilot will get us to our destination. It is
the using of that supernatural gifting of faith that comes when we hear
the Word of God.
So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard
comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ
(the Messiah Himself). Romans 10:17 (Amp)
The principle is this: God, our Father, wants us to use whatever gift He
gives us. This shows Him that we value and cherish what has come from Him.
My most prized possessions on earth are those things that my earthly father
gave me. My most prized and valued possessions are those that God has given
me to use as my own.
Have Faith . .
The Bible, the Word of God, tells us to have the faith of God. Many
Bible scholars have rendered the translation as “have the faith of God.”
This, in fact, is in many Bible margin notes and commentaries:
And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly].
Mark 11:22 (Amp)
In other words, as you abide in Christ, and therefore in God, have the
same faith He has. Have the God kind of faith. The faith He has and uses;
you have and use. This is a covenant benefit of being “in Christ.” ”. .
. the riches of the glory of this mystery . . . which is Christ in you,
the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27 KJV).
I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given
Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one: I in them and You in Me,
in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world
may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have
loved them [even] as You have loved Me. John 17:22-23 (Amp)
Supernatural, God given faith, is defined as having substance and assurance
of possession even when you can’t see or touch what you believe for.
Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed)
of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see
and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what
is not revealed to the senses]. Hebrews 11:1 (Amp)
Believe God. Have faith. Have the faith that brought all that we see, touch,
smell and taste out of nothing:
By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive
ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended
purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things
which are visible. Hebrews 11:3 (Amp)
What are you thinking?
What you are thinking right now is paving the road to your future. Your
thoughts will carry you to an expected end. Thoughts will dictate how you
feel and what you speak. Your thoughts are who you are.
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is
he: ...
Satan has a plan for your life. Does that surprise you? Do you think that
God is the only one who has a plan for your life? Quite the contrary. Fear
and faith are given authority in our thought life. If we allow what we
think to stray from the written Word of God (the Bible), if we allow imagination
to rule our thought life, we will find ourselves fulfilling satan’s purpose
rather than the plan and purpose of the Living God. Satan will use our
thoughts to steal what God has given and has in store for us, to kill every
God given hope and dream, and to destroy the love we have for the Lord
and our ability to accept the love He has for us.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and
to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that
they might have it more abundantly.
Jesus, on the other hand, has come to freely offer life, and life more
abundantly. He has destroyed the works of the devil and made it possible
for us to receive the plan of God for our lives, to give life to every
God given hope and dream, and to reveal and restore the love we have for
the Father and our ability to accept the love He has for us.
1 John 3:8 ... for this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Thoughts are like the wind ...
Thoughts are like the wind that fills the sail and moves a ship toward
its destination. A concept or idea is like the ships rudder that steers
the course. Where we are right now is the result of the sum total of our
thought life. Oh, there have been other factors involved, but the way we
think determines how those factors affect the course of our lives.
We can look at our situation, the circumstances surrounding our state
of affairs and become overwhelmed by what we see and feel. Our thoughts
can begin to tell us that we are beaten and should give up the fight.
Or, we can look at the Word of God concerning our situation, comparing
what we see with what He sees, and take heart, fight harder, having
done all stand, and receive the victory won at Calvary’s Cross on our behalf.
We can align our thoughts with what the Word of God says and begin to act
upon it.
2 Cor. 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high
thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into
captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
1 Tim. 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, ... whereunto thou
art also called ...
2 Tim. 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith:
Ephes. 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that
ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
The Word . . .
There is nothing more important than the word you and I speak. Yes,
the Word you and I speak. Our words should be those of the Word of the
living God. Our God, Jehovah Himself, is a speaking Spirit.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship
him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24 (KJV)
He is the Voice that walked in the Garden of Eden:
And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the
garden . . . Genesis 3:8 (KJV)
When He breathed Himself into man, He created man to be a speaking spirit
after His own image and likeness. You and I, Beloved, are to be people
who speak the Word with assurance [faith], knowing that what ever we speak
will accomplish what it was sent to do.
Then said the Lord to me, . . . , for I am alert and
active, watching over My word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:12 (Amp)
When we learn to speak what He speaks with the assurance [faith] that He
backs His word when it comes out of our mouth, we will see the results
of our speaking like we never though possible. Remember, God has been in
covenant with you and I from the moment that we accepted Jesus as our Lord
and Savior. He will do whatever we say when we do whatever He says.
. . . whosoever shall say . . . and shall not doubt in
his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come
to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23 (KJV)
The Blood . .
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the
word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
Once born-again, you and I were transformed into a new creation by the
power of God. We are now the sons of God.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12
(KJV)
We are now witnesses of His grace. We have experienced and benefitted from
His unconditional, supernatural agape love. As we yield to His command
to be endued with power from on high (the Baptism in the Holy Spirit) we
can be witness to His resurrection power.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost
is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 1:8 (KJV)
He said that we, “shall be witnesses unto me.” This means we shall be witnesses
to Him in resurrection power.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the
dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken
your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11 (KJV)
When we witness, or speak what we have seen and known of Him, we are joined
with the supernatural speaking of the precious Blood of “the Lamb Slain
from the foundation of the world” (Rev. 13:8).
The Word of Life . . .
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have
seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled,
of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it,
and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the
Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard
declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly
our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these
things write we unto you, that your joy may be full (1 John 1:1-4).
We may not have seen with our natural eyes, but we have seen with our
spiritual eyes, the Lord of Glory. We have looked upon Him in the text
of His eternal Word. Our hands have handled it’s pages and so we have handled
the Word of Life as surely as if He were here in His physical body.
In our hearts the life was manifested, and we have experienced His touch
and transforming power. We bear witness to the fact that Jesus lives, and
that His resurrection carried us to the right hand of the Father and seated
us in heavenly places with Him.
This reality of His manifest presence we have seen and heard and now
do declare to a doubting world so that they might come and have fellowship
with us. This fellowship is not only with us, but with the Father, and
with his Son Jesus Christ.
His Word is alive and powerful, working within, for and through us.
His life pushes out the darkness of sin and all of it’s debilitating attributes.
We are no longer children of darkness but have been translated into children
of His marvelous light. Sin no longer holds dominion over us and we walk
in the perfect liberty of the Spirit of Life.
The Life of The Word . . .
We are children born of the incorruptible seed of the Spirit. We are
those “whom He did foreknow,” and that He “did predestinate to be conformed
to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren”
(Romans 8:29).
In us is Christ, the Anointed One and His anointing. The same Spirit
that raised Christ from the dead now is resident within us (Romans 8:11).
We have the Life of the Word working in, for, and through us so that we
can know the “immeasurable and unlimited, and surpassing greatness of His
power,” and be a testimony to the demonstrated working of His mighty strength
(Ephesians 1:19 Amp).
The Word of God has not been given to be added to our lives as an attachment
or addendum. We are not to take what we want and leave the rest. We are
to become the living, walking, breathing, speaking, Word so that we become
living epistles read of all men (2 Corinthians 3:2). The Life of the Word
is to be seen in our nature, character, actions and words. We are to speak
“as the oracles of God.” We are to minister in “the ability which God giveth:
that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be
praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 4:11).
If we have “seen” Him, then we “know him, and the power of his resurrection,
and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death
(Philippians 3:10), so that we might be able to say, “I am crucified with
Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the
life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,
who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
Herein we live, and demonstrate the Life of the Word.
Whats In A Name?
Name = a language unit by which a person or thing
is known. In both the Hebrew and Greek languages, name denotes honor, authority
or character. In other words, a name expresses who the person is or what
the nature of the thing is that is named.
Wellspring Ministries - Churches & Missions,
Inc. expresses the nature and/or character of this ministry. The name Wellspring
was chosen to reflect the Divine Source of our calling. Jesus, The Son,
and Christ of God. Jesus is the Wellspring (inexhaustible Source) of Life.
It is from Him that the waters of life flow eternally.
His ministry flows through the people belonging
to, affiliated, associated or working with the members of this organization
in various ministries and churches both in the United States and abroad.
Missions is at the heart of the ministry calling.
Ministries include, but are not limited to, non-
church works and outreaches such as Food Banks, Bible Institutes and/or
Colleges, Victorious Christian Living Discipleship Centers, Salvation Army,
Prison, Hospital, Convalescent Home outreach and Street Evangelism. Home
groups, Men's groups, Women's groups are also included.
The word Churches expresses our dedication to
go beyond the establishment and nurture of Wellspring Church to the
planting, nurture and encouragement of churches wherever the Lord leads.
An example of this type of relationship would be that which exists with
River of Life - Word Ministry, pastored by Sullivan R. Causey Sr. in Las
Vegas, or with Living Way Fellowship pastored by Jovie Galaraga in the
Philippines.
Church of All Nations
Wellspring has, since its inception, been a Missions
Church. We have tirelessly trained and encouraged missionaries and missionary
giving. Our focus has always been Las Vegas and the World. Wellspring Church
is just not Wellspring without the Nations.
We are a church body of covenant believers who
consist of people from many different backgrounds,
races and nationalities. We are knit with people, churches and ministry
organizations all over the world. Our involvement with fellow believers
in the Nations of the world is increasing at an excitingly dizzying rate.
We have prayed to the Lord to give us the Nations
for our inheritance and He is answering in great abundance because it is
a prayer from His heart:
Psalm 2:8 Ask of me, and I
shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts
of the earth for thy possession.
We love you! Our dedication to you and to the
vision of God is increasing daily. Our prayer is that Wellspring Church
of All Nations will quickly move into her full inheritance in Christ Jesus
and that her name will bring glory to the King of Kings and joy to His
people.
Write the Vision . . .
The Amplified Bible renders Habakkuk 2:1-3
in the following manner:
[OH, I know, I have been rash to talk out plainly this way to God!]
I will [in my thinking] stand upon my post of observation and station myself
on the tower or fortress, and will watch to see what He will say within
me and what answer I will make [as His mouthpiece] to the perplexities
of my complaint against Him. And the Lord answered me and said, Write the
vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes
may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by. For the
vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment];
it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for
it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed
day.
I wonder if you are really willing to be honest enough to admit
that you have, at one time or another, drafted a complaint against the
Lord?
Perhaps you never have, but, much to my chagrin, I have found
myself in a situation or two that seemed totally hopeless, and where I’ve
felt completely helpless to the point that I have rashly verbalized
my perplexities to the Lord.
Thank God, He is merciful and longsuffering. The important thing to
Him, beloved, is that we wait to see what He will say and that we are willing
to agree with His perspective. This means that we will allow ourselves
to be chastised, corrected and shown to be wrong, in order to be restored
to a position of faith.
Satan is always attempting to discredit the Word of God. He wants
you to get so discouraged that you will give up on the Word of God, give
up on God, just plain give up. This is what 1 Peter 1:7 calls “the trial
of your faith.”
Hide it in your Heart . . .
The good news is that, as you turn to the
Lord, the Righteous Judge, “though it be tried with fire,” your faith will
“be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”
You will notice that when Habakkuk took to his watch, he was
answered by the Lord to write the vision plainly so that he, and everyone
else, could easily, and quickly, read it. He was then encouraged to consider
that the vision had it’s appointed time of fulfillment and that it would
never, never, never, “deceive or disappoint.” The Prophet was told to earnestly
wait for it, because it would surely come.
When you take your perplexities to the Lord you will receive
encouragement and promise that will cause your faith to rise above the
circumstance in which you find yourself.
Also, when you are given a vision, a dream, a promise of God;
write it down and review it until you have memorized it. This will keep
you from falling into the trap of despair that leads to questioning the
Lord at all.
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee
(Psalm 119:11 KJV).
Man is expected to live by faith and in his faithfulness (Habakkuk
2:4), for it is impossible to please God without faith, “for he that cometh
to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).
Faith answers the questions posed by circumstance, situation,
satan, and self, for faith operates by love, and God is Love. “. .
. God is love . . .”“faith which worketh by love” (1 John 4:16; Galatians
5:6 KJV).
Even when you stand on your watch, having voiced the perplexities
of your complaint to God, Love that never fails will answer and faith will
arise out of the ashes of hopelessness and helplessness to conquer every
obstacle and dispel every doubt.
Y2K - The New Year..
Y2K (The Year Two-thousand) will be the year of Yes To The King! The
current wave of revival will rise, but not crest. This coming year will
see the greatest harvest of souls ever known by man. There wil lbe a great
spiritual awakening, a spiritual earth quake, that will bring on the Tsunami
of God. It will not destroy as did the flood of Noah but will bring life;
for it is written:
... So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his
glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in, like a
flood the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. Isaiah
59:19
Y2K is your Year To Know Him! Revelation will also break like never before.
Though you have experienced it in the past, the glory of this house will
far out shadow the former. This coming year will be noted for the hunger
of the people and their eagerness to hear the Word of the Lord.
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going
forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain,
as the latter and former rain unto the earth. Hosea 6:3
Y2K is the year of Yielding to Knowledge!
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for
understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for
her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of
the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out
of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:3-6
The New Millennium ..
MILLENNIUM = A span of 1000 years.
Though our Gentile calendar is anything but Biblically accurate, we
can still readily see that we are living in the last sliver of time; the
last of the last days. We are in the most powerful, productive times imaginable.
You and I are living in what could very well be the last great harvest
of the world.
MILLENNIUM = A time of peace and happiness in the distant future.
There is a time coming when Jesus will rule and reign for a Thousand
Years (Millennial Reign of Christ). There is also a time of "peace and
happiness" that is not so distant, and not to be so eagerly awaited by
the sons of man.
For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly,
saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. Jeremiah8:11
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh
as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then
sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child;
and they shall not escape. 1 Thes. 5:2-3
Great blessing is coming to the Church so that she will have all necessary
provision and comeliness to reach those whom destruction is swiftly overtaking.
Her stature will be such that she will be like a city set upon a hill.
The light of her will attract all who pass her way. Those who go out from
her will have the bearing of Kings and Princes and will win many to the
Person
and the cause of Christ. |
