Year after year the Lord seems to stir in my spirit a glimpse of what lies ahead. This is not strange in that the Scripture declares.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself;but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Proverbs 2:3-6 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledgeof God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
What I see in the mind and heart
of God concerning the Church and the next seven years is, in type, found
in the Book of Genesis in the 41st Chapter. This is the historical record
of Joseph and Pharaoh of Egypt prior to the years of great famine across
the then known world. Pharaoh was visited with a dream and sought to know
the meaning of it. Joseph was brought out of prison to reveal the matter
and God gave him the interpretation of it and the wisdom, understanding
and knowledge as to what to do.
Joseph and his wisdom from God is a type of the Church and her place in the world today. The world system, and it's leadership, is typified by Egypt and Pharaoh. The Church has the wisdom understanding and knowledge of what to do in this hour. [1 Chronicles 12:32].
Genesis 41:29-30 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;
Unprecedented prosperity is already sweeping the world. The greatest transfer of wealth in the history of planet earth is taking place and will continue for the next seven years. These will be years of great plenty throughout all the land ..
7 Years of Famine . . .
Could it be that the seven years of famine picture the tribulation period? Is it possible that the Church will be caught away and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land ...?
While no one really knows when the Church will be caught up in the air, we do know that world events clearly point toward the soon coming of the Lord. In any event, this is the greatest hour the Church has ever seen! She is positioned to receive great increase both in number and in substance over the next 7 Years of Plenty.
It is, without a doubt, Harvest time and time to make a decisive dedication of our lives to the will and purpose of our soon coming King of Kings and Lord of Lords. - Maranatha

Now, in January 2005, I look at where the Church is, the condition of the world, and I, again, look ahead -
I believe that a more probable interpretation would be that both the world system, along with the "church" that is dead, without Christ, will be thrust into a "famine;" a time of seven years of financial, moral, and emotional devastation.
I see the world coming to the living Church (typified by Joseph) to "purchase" food.
The Christ loving, Christ honoring Church (made up of those local assemblies of Jesus' disciples) will have exceeding, abundantly, above what they need. They will have, to "sell" without cost, that which will meet the need of those starving for moral standards, emotional stability, and, yes, even material sustenance.
For seven years, the Church of the First Born, that Glorious Church, will provide all that is needed in the world, and the world will come to it, trading property, possessions, and giving money to acquire that which only the Church can provide by the Holy Ghost. Though She will not charge for what the Lord has given her, the nations will bring great treasure to lay at her feet.
Multitudes will seek out the wisdom of God as only can be found in the Spirit-filled, anointed, help meet for her Lover, the Bride of Christ.
During this time will be fulfilled the saying that, "I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh ..."

These Next 7 Years . . .
2008 is going to be a year of transition; it is the year that a New Era begins for the Church. The Jewish people have already entered in and are feeling the pressure of transition even as I write.
The decisions made now determine the rapidity with which the Day of the Lord will come. Prophecy is aligning itself to manifest the infallibility of the Word of the Lord in this hour.
None will escape the result of this transition into this New Era. Jews, Christians and the lost heathen masses (which includes the Moslem world), the three people groups of the world with whom God is dealing, are all involved. Each will see demonstration after demonstration of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and know that He, and He alone is God.
The world is receiving one scientific breakthrough after another from the Jews. God has given them a spirit of genius and insight which are bringing answers to alleviate the physical suffering of humanity. That simple truth alone would make the Devil determined to wipe them off the face of the earth. That, coupled with the hatred the Devil has toward them for bringing forth the Seed of the Woman, drives him to want to utterly destroy them.
The Church is receiving one spiritual breakthrough after another. God is giving the Church spiritual revelation that will expose and ultimately destroy the works of the Devil on every hand. Multitudes are being set free by the Living Word of God. There are Streams In The Desert flowing out into the parched lands of humanities need.
Soon, the peoples of the world will realize that they are in a famine like no other recorded in the history of the earth. They will hunger and thirst for answers that only the Truth of scripture can give them. This "famine" has already begun to usher in the greatest "wave of revival" that the world has ever seen. It is harvest time.
They will come to the Church to be fed the life sustaining Word of God and will give anything to receive it. As they came from all over the world to Joseph of old, they will come and give all to receive that which has been laid up in store for these times. The "world" will starve until they come to the storehouse of God. Like Jacob and his sons they will come and be "saved" from destruction.
Answer The Call . . .
Recently "The Call" came to Las Vegas. Thousands of young people and their leaders and parents joined in fasting and prayer for the City, the Nation and the World.
From whence comes this hunger to pray? It is a Sovereign move of the Spirit of Supplication. It is an answer to the prayers of Him who ever lives to make intercession for you and I. It is God Almighty stirring a people to seed the clouds of heaven with prayer so that the harvest rains will fall.
First He stirred his "Gate Keepers," the Pastors of this and other cities across the Nation. He stirred the Evangelists who yearn for the lost soul of this great Country. As they obeyed and began to set aside denominational differences and focus on the conquering Christ of the Cross, God sent a ground swell of prayer among the young.
When the youth are moved, the parents are moved. It should be the other way around but this is the time of the hearts of the fathers turning toward their sons. Where fathers should stand and draw the hearts of the children to them, they have been tricked by Satan and his deceptions. When Eli failed his sons, God raised up a Samuel who would birth spiritual sons. When Jacob failed his sons, in His mercy, the Lord raised up Joseph as a deliverer.
The storehouse is full and ready to feed the masses. There is only one prayer that must be whispered, spoken, yea, shouted, and it is this:
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Matthew 9:38 (KJV)
". . . The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest" (Luk. 10:2 KJV).
Seven years of famine. What a great opportunity for the Church! Seven years of supply for the hungry masses. Seven years of the supply of the Spirit stored up for just such a day as this.
And then what? I don’t know. That window is closed at the present.
Watch Israel. Watch Damascus. Watch and Pray.

The Second Year . . . In the year
The Second Year . . .
In the year2000 the Lord spoke to me about seven years of plenty and the following seven years of famine. Last November, 2007, I wrote about the beginning of the famine coming in 2008. Well, here we are.
The emphasis of what the Lord showed me concerned spiritual plenty and spiritual famine. In other words, the church storing up its treasure of revelation in the Word of God in preparation for years of spiritual hunger in the world.
As in much that is prophetic, the things spoken of also had to do with the natural conditions in the world and how the church would relate to those conditions.
We have seen a self-sufficient world system with a growing disregard for, even a distaste for, the things of God. Even 911 only drove the world to the church for a few weeks at most.
The church, however, much like Joseph in Egypt, has been thriving both spiritually and materially. So much so, in fact, that when national disasters like hurricane Katrina, Rita and the more recent, Ike, left their wake of destruction, it was the Church that responded first at a grass roots level.
The Church has flourished financially in a way that has drawn the attention of a jealous world system and caused a United States Senator, the "Honorable" Charles Grassley, to lead an attack on several Pentecostal ministries in an attempt to challenge their right to prosper.
From Capital Hill to Wall Street and beyond to Main Street, the world system is reeling as a result of the break down of moral integrity in the market place. Promises to "fix the problem" circulate from every quarter, yet no one seems to be willing to suggest a real answer to the apparent financial dilemma. After all, people and governments would have to learn how to function without debt.
Imagine the popularity of any world leader who might suggest that the governments of the world and their peoples learn to live on a balanced budget.
This shaking of the god, mammon, is world-wide and will continue as long as there is something that can be shaken.
Famine . . .
So, what happens in the "famine years" and how long will they last? We have, as I understand it, beginning with 2009, six more years of world events which will bring every nation, kindred, tongue and people to the realization that they are spiritually bankrupt. As the promised answers and fixes not only fail but exacerbate the world’s woes many will begin to turn to the visible Church for answers. Unfortunately they will find that all that looks like church is not necessarily church. This is exactly what was found after 911 and that is why people did not stay connected after two or three weeks of soul searching.11 Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord God, when I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but [a famine] for hearing the words of the Lord. Amos 8:11 (AMP)
There is, however, a remnant Church. There are a people who know their God and do exploits (Dan. 11:32). The Holy Ghost will begin to draw seekers to the places where His Church has a store of the Spirit. They will come and find answers from the Word of God for the pressing challenges of life. The news will spread that there is "food" in the house of God.
1 WAIT and listen, everyone who is thirsty! Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy [priceless, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing]. 2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness [the profuseness of spiritual joy]. 3 Incline your ear [submit and consent to the divine will] and come to Me; hear, and your soul will revive; and I will make an everlasting covenant or league with you, even the sure mercy (kindness, goodwill, and compassion) promised to David.Isaiah 55:1-3 (AMP)
